Tonight’s workshop/demo is our monthly live figure (clothed) drawing night. Bring your favourite drawing supplies and strengthen your skills. Free for members, $5.00 for non-members. Location: Our clubhouse in Roy Nicholson Park (intersection of Pine St. N. and Eighth Avenue, Timmins).
This is the follow-up to workshop from April 07th. (Collage Papers Workshop: Thursday April 07, 2016 7pm). In this workshop, Cathy Cribbs will guide you though some ways to get your collage started.

The Porcupine Art Club’s monthly business meeting takes place tonight – Thursday May 12, 2016 at 7:00pm at the clubhouse in Roy Nicholson Park. (Intersection of Pine St. North and Eighth Avenue.) Potential new members welcome to attend. This is the last public meeting of the Porcupine Art Club until September.
Part 1: Overview of Linocut and getting an idea for your design on Wednesday April 20th, 2016 at 7:00pm – approximately 90 min. to 2 hours.
Part 2: Printing – Saturday April 23rd 10:00am to 3:00pm (approx.); you can either bring a lunch (we have a microwave) or pause and go out for lunch. Please wear clothing you don’t mind getting inked up. We will be standing quite a bit on the Saturday; wear comfortable shoes.
Cost: $10.00 for members (includes 1 – 4 X 6″ linoleum or soft block and 1 22 X 30″ sheet of Stonehenge paper); $15.00 for non-members (includes the block and paper). If you want to use a larger 6 X 8″ block, bring $2.00 more. Additional blocks and paper can be purchased at the clubhouse for the following prices:
4 X 6″ Linoleum or Soft Block – $3.00

The report of the Porcupine Art Club’s lease for the 5 years commencing in 2017 is up for review at City Council Monday April 04th, 2016. All club members are encouraged to attend this meeting at City Hall (220 Algonquin Boulevard East, Timmins – entrance to the building is the side door by the parking lot at Algonquin and Cedar St. North). Friends, family, and past members are also welcome to attend this public meeting.
The Council Meeting begins at 6:00pm; the report will likely be up closer to 7:00pm at the meeting, as we are under Topic 4. e. on the agenda.
