For those artists that are entering the Black Spruce Gallery’s juried miniature show, now is your chance to show your work to your peers and have it critiqued before the entries are due on April 20th, 2017. This also a chance to be inspired if you are having a moment of “painter’s block”. The workhshop will take place at 7pm at the clubhouse in Roy Nicholson Park (intersection of Pine St. North and Eighth Avenue, Timmins). Note: This show is open to area artists and photographers, regardless of whether they belong to a club or not.

The Porcupine Art Club’s Monthly business meeting will take place on Thursday March 09th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the clubhouse in Roy Nicholson Park (intersection of Pine St. North and Eighth Avenue, Timmins).
Tonight’s workshop/demo is a life-drawing session. Bring your sketch pad and favourite medium and join us for an evening of sketching, share tips and learn from others!

Join P.A.C. Artist and member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, Ellen Catherwood, as she guides you through a checklist of the elements that make a up good painting. This workshop takes place on Thursday February 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the clubhouse in Roy Nicholson Park (intersection of Pine Street North and Eighth Avenue, Timmins), and is free for members and $5.00 for non-members. CALLING ALL ARTISTS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS!
Katelyn Malo of the Black Spruce Gallery & Katelyn Malo Photography will be hosting a juried exhibit of miniature 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional Works from May 01st to June 30th, 2017. Artists can submit up to two pieces per category (Photography, Multimedia/Painting, Sculpture, Textiles, and Wrapped Canvas) up to a total of pieces of work ($5.00 entry fee per piece. The deadline for artwork submissions is April 20th, 2017, and artists will be notified if their piece(s) have been selected for the show by April 27th, 2017. The show opening will take place on Tuesday May 02nd, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This is show is open to ALL artists and photographers, regardless of whether you belong to a club or not.

During the month of February, the Porcupine Art Club will feature an exhibit of recent works related to the theme “In the Deep MID-WINTER” at the Black Spruce Gallery (42 Pine St. South, Timmins). The opening reception will take place Tuesday February 07th, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Come meet the artists and learn more about their work!
