This week, members of the Porcupine Art Club are busy getting items ready for the Timmins Museum: National Exhibition Centre’s Holiday Arts and Crafts sale on Friday and Saturday, as well as getting the final touches for their December show “Dark in the Light”.
Nicky Alexander will be leading a workshop on folding a Froebel Star, a traditional German ornament made from folded paper strips. It is recommended that you bring a good quality wrapping paper that can hold a crease, and be cut into 4 strips, each 1″ wide X 30″ long. Extra paper will be provided if you do not have your own.
This workshop is free for members and $5.00 for non-members, and will take place at the clubhouse in Roy Nicholson Park (intersection of Pine Street North and Eighth Avenue, Timmins), starting at 7:00 p.m.
