Tonight’s demo is a continuation of October 05th’s demo for club members looking to get constructive feedback on their work. We will review more of the NOAA 2017 digital entries in-house, and club members can bring along the actual paintings for comparison, or bring in another work for evaluation. Membership dues cam also be paid tonught. The demo starts at 7pm.
The Porcupine Art Club’s October business meeting takes place on Thursday October 12th at 7:00 p.m. at the clubhouse in Roy Nicholson Park. (Intersection of Pine Street North and Eighth Avenue, Timmins.) Anyone who is interested in the club and over 18 is also welcome to attend.

Join the Porcupine Art Club and the Timmins Museum: National Exhibition Centre in celebrating Northern Ontario Art and Artists! The Northern Ontario Art Association’s 61st Annual Juried Exhibition continues a tradition of providing communities across the region with access to original art. Out of 131 submissions from 15 independent clubs, 38 were selected by an independent jury tour across 12 communities over the next 12 months. This year’s touring show begins right here at home in Timmins.
On Saturday September 16, 2017 at 2: 00 pm., the public is invited to come out to the show opening and awards presentation at the Timmins Museum:National Exhibition Centre, 325 Second Avenue, Timmins. This is your opportunity to see the artwork firsthand and meet some of the artists before the tour begins. All ages are welcome!
The NOAA’s objectives are to encourage original art, the appreciation of the work of artists, and to further art education in Northern Communities.

The Porcupine Art Club’s first business meeting for 2017/18 takes place one week early this month, because of the NOAA conference and show opening next month. The meeting takes place at 7:00 p.m. at our clubhouse in Roy Nicholson Park. (261 Eighth Avenue, Timmins – intersection of Eighth Avenue and Pine Street North. New members welcome.
