Join us for our first Thursday evening workshop of the year: Painting Glossary & Label Definitions with Karina Douglas-Takayesu.

Familiarize yourself with common terminology and abbreviations that appear on paint labels, as well as phrases that pop up frequently in how-to guides. (For example, the word “Hue” has at least three different contextual meanings.)

Bring along any of your painting supplies if you want to experiment with them during workshop and/or any label mysteries you need help solving. The main focus will be on acrylic paints, but we will also look at watercolour (and other water media), and oil paint labels.

There will be time for questions and discussion. The workshop will be around 90 minutes, and handouts will be given at the end.

Thursday September 19, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the clubhouse in Roy Nicholson Park (Pine St. North & Eighth Avenue, Timmins). The door will be open at 6:45 p.m. Free for members and $5.00 for non-members.
